Wall Mount: ( See Figure 2 )
Regardless of orientation, each Reference AV loudspeaker incorporates its own integral wall mount. This
wall mount consists of two parts, which are connected during shipment. They need to be separated for
installation. The outer half gets mounted to the wall. Screw alignment for the included drywall anchors is
provided with the enclosed template. Be sure to affix the wall mount such that the side-facing channels,
which allow you to later hang the speaker into them, are oriented upwards. The second half of the wall mount
that is attached to the speaker slides right into the wall-mounted half via the four included side-facing bolts.
(It is not necessary to hit studs, as the enclosed drywall mounts are sturdy enough to support the weight of
the Reference AV directly. However, stud mounting is preferable).
Once you slide the two pieces of the wall mount together, make sure to tighten the four screws in the
picture hanger channels and the fifth lock screw. This is required for safety and to avoid vibration.
Install the speaker cables before you permanently fasten the Reference AV to the wall mount. Be sure to
observe proper polarity (red/+ to red/+, black/- to black/-). If you route the wire from above the speaker,
the wall mount has two central openings to snake the wire through to the terminals.

To attach the speaker first make sure the wall plate is firmly attached to the
surface. Next loosen the four screws on the section of the wall plate still
attached to the speaker. Now carefully slip the speaker into the hook
channels of the wall plate and tighten all four screws with the supplied allen
wrench. Lastly add the fifth lock screw and tighten.
Attach directly to the
wall, preferably into
a stud.
These hook channels will need to face up for vertical
mounting of the Reference AV
